A seven-week photography workshop delivered as part of the Empower Her programme at Phipps Bridge Youth Club in Mitcham, using analogue photography to explore confidence, identity and self-expression. The sessions reflect on social media, consent, representation and empowerment while developing practical camera skills. The project culminated in a public exhibition at curated by participants, where they displayed work and read letters to their future selves, celebrating sisterhood.

This year, I had the privilege of hosting an evening at the Wimbledon Book Festival with poets Raymond Antrobus and James Massiah. Raymond’s readings from The Quiet Ear were intimate, drawn from the deep memories that shape his world, while James offered sharp reflections on pleasure and modern life. The room was electric, a night of shared thought, creativity and connection.

This year I mentored with MyWorld and Earl Kendrick on a project supporting people who have experienced homelessness to photograph buildings that hold meaning for them. I worked closely with the photographers and it was a powerful celebration of photography, community and the stories woven into London’s architecture.
